Details that help you choose
Bring a cozy, rustic feel to your windows with these burlap-colored valances that offer the perfect balance of privacy and natural light for your kitchen, laundry room, or nursery.
Natural Linen Blend Texture
These valances are crafted from a high-quality blend of 30% linen and 70% polyester. This specific ratio gives you the classic, slightly slubbed texture of real linen while the polyester ensures the fabric remains durable and resists heavy wrinkling. The burlap color provides a neutral, earthy tone that complements farmhouse, country rustic, or coastal decor styles effortlessly.
Handcrafted Coconut Shell Accents
What sets these valances apart are the genuine coconut shell buttons. Each button measures 1.57 inches, making them a significant visual detail rather than a small afterthought. To ensure they stay secure even after multiple washes, each button is firmly sewn onto the fabric using a three-layer thread technique, preventing the common issue of loose or falling buttons found in cheaper alternatives.
Light Filtering for Daily Privacy
If you live on a ground floor or have windows facing a street, privacy is a top concern. These valances provide enough opacity to block direct views from the outside while still allowing soft, filtered sunlight to fill the room. This makes them an ideal choice for laundry rooms or kitchen sinks where you want a bright atmosphere without feeling exposed to neighbors.
Ready-Made Dimensions
This set includes 2 valance panels, with each panel measuring 42 inches wide by 18 inches long. When hung together, they provide ample coverage for standard windows. For a more ruffled, gathered look, we recommend using both panels on a single window frame.
Easy-Slide Rod Pocket
The top of each panel features a 3-inch pole pocket. This wide opening is designed to accommodate most standard or decorative curtain rods. The fabric slides easily across the rod, making it simple to adjust the gathering or pull the curtains aside when you want a completely clear view.
Care & Maintenance
Keeping your farmhouse valances looking fresh is straightforward. They are machine washable in cold water. To maintain the integrity of the linen blend and the natural coconut buttons, use a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low heat. If needed, a light iron on a low setting will remove any fold lines from shipping. Do not use bleach, as it can damage the natural fibers and fade the burlap color.
